Meet Jo.

Jo is the start of a really exciting project for me. Jo is the first of my “90 Somethings” and she’s just absolutely fabulous. Jo is 94 years young, she just celebrated her birthday last month. Born and raised in Colorado now living with her son here in Seattle. Jo’s an ace Bridge player, she plays in a club twice a week and she likes her “liquor straight and her women wild” – just kidding, though once a lover of scotch she sticks with “Constant Comment” tea these days or as her son likes to call it “No Comment!”

The dress she’s wearing is the product of a trip to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia that she took in 1978. She found the fabric there and couldn’t resist it – brought it back and made this great dress. The fisherman figurine down below is also a souvenir from that adventure.

Thanks for talking with me Jo!

There are now almost two-million Americans age 90 or older. For me this project is about getting to meet amazing people, hear incredible life stories and be small part of documenting those lives/stories. If you have an awesome 90-something in your life I’d love a chance to chat with them!

I love this!!!!! I’d love for you to meet my dad’s dad. Papa Dee. My dad, Moe and Sadee are all named after him. He just turned 93 in January! He’s a real American cowboy and has some awesome old pics of himself in his cowboy days in Arizona.

I would love to make that happen. I’m going to be in Texas for Patrick’s graduation the May 31st-June 4th. But you guys are all going to be gone sadly. I wish I was staying longer then. I may try to make another trip out in the Fall.
